Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Innovation and new technology is a fundamental part of how we operate. An essential part of this ethos is the adoption of Building Information Modelling (BIM) on our projects.

Over the last 5 years we have developed a strong BIM4Bridges® capability and are committed to delivering BIM for civils infrastructure in accordance with PAS1192-2 levels 1 or 2 depending on client requirements.

Our projects can be delivered in accordance with the NBS BIM Toolkit and we are capable of working to LOI and LOD 3. We can accommodate all clients information requirements and can set up custom data attributes to cater for specific client needs.

As a firm we train our staff in the latest industry and software standards. We currently use Tekla Structures suite of software for all our BIM projects, which is an industry leader in collaborative working utilising the IFC data exchange format. We have experience working on large BIM projects co-ordinating with various software packages such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, Bentley AECOsim and Bentley Microstation.

We work closely with clients and contractors to help them make the most of the BIM process and to try and progress the process to BIM level 3 in the future. We can also provide in-house 3D printing services to provide clients with scale models of various aspects to help visualise design proposals and make informed decisions.
