We’re proud of the UK’s legacy of excellence in engineering, and committed to developing the next generation of exceptional engineers through our Student Scholarship Scheme and Graduate Programme.
Many of our students remain with our company after graduating and appreciate gaining experience under the guidance some of the industry’s most respected engineers. A number of our earliest graduates now hold senior management positions in the company.

Student Scholarship Scheme
Every year we invite talented civil engineering students to apply for the Scholarship Scheme at our Surrey head office. This entails an 8-week summer placement at the end of the student’s 1st academic year, a 12-month industrial placement at the end of the 2nd academic year, and a further 8-week summer placement at the end of the 3rd academic year. All placements are paid at above the Real Living Wage.
It is our hope that, after graduating with a Masters degree (2:1 or higher), scholarship students will then join our Graduate Programme.
If you’re a first-year student enrolled on, or committed to changing to, an integrated Masters degree in Civil Engineering with an Industrial Placement year, and with excellent A-level grades (A or A*) in Maths and Physics, we’d love to hear from you! You’ll need to be developing a theoretical understanding of structural analyses, and be able to manage your time effectively.

Graduate programme
Our Graduate Programme is designed to consolidate and build on the knowledge gained at University, while working on interesting and challenging projects under the guidance of our technical experts. In addition, our internal training programme transfers soft skills such as team-work, interpreting a brief, presentation and communication skills, and much more.
If you’re aiming for Chartership, the ICE and IStructE Initial Professional Development objectives are an integral part of our UK Graduate Programme, and we will actively support you as you progress towards this goal.
We know that our success lies with our people, so we offer our graduates a clear career path to progress within the company and to make significant contributions to both the civil engineering industry and wider society.
