2024 Engineering Challenge

Three teams of our graduate and student engineers competed in our annual Engineering Challenge recently.   The brief was to create a section of a cantilevered stadium roof which could support a PA system, using only paper and split pins, with two bricks for ballast.

The Challenge is designed to equip our young engineers with the skills needed to interpret a brief, work to a programme, communicate and present on their design processes, and work collaboratively – all skills that are as important to us as technical ability.
