We recently traveled to Copenhagen to conduct wind tunnel testing for the new Eastern Garvoge bridge we’re designing with RPS for Sligo County Council.
The bridge will improve access to key education and healthcare services in the area, reduce traffic congestion in the town, and provide more opportunities for active travel by Sligo residents. Sligo has been identified in “Ireland 2040”, the National Planning Framework, as an important strategic gateway to growth for the North-Western and Midlands regions of Ireland, and we’re really proud to play a part in this transformative project.
We’re really pleased with this new visualisation of the bridge – – a 70m span tied arch with a single slender arch rib that rises to nearly 35m above deck level.
