This project involved site formation of land under the First Phase of Fanling North New Development Area and construction of engineering infrastructures including drainage and sewerage works, waterworks, roadworks (including carriageway, footpaths and cycle tracks), noise barrier works, slope works and landscaping works.

We were appointed as the main contractor’s designer to provide value engineering and cost saving design for permanent works such as the piled foundations of the noise barriers.  The optimised design improved constructability in order to simplify the piling operation required near the existing live highway.

We also provided various temporary works design including temporary supports for excavations needed for the construction of box culverts, foundations and utility installations.
