Our Associate Director Matthew Baxman is featured in an article in the latest issue of New Civil Engineer magazine which focusses on the complexities of launched bridges, which you can read here.

Matt highlights the importance of early contractor involvement, particularly in complex bridge launches, where temporary works design and permanent works design need to be aligned right from the start -in some cases as early as tender stage.  The solution to complexity, he says, is having the right people around the table who understand the whole picture from technical requirements to delivery constraints and challenges.
