The Aylesbury Canal Society were seeking to improve the facilities and berthing capacity on the canal near the centre of the town and engaged with Land & Water to provide a new basin adjacent to the existing canal. Land & Water engaged us to prepare the design for the earthworks, entrance structure, building foundations, mooring jetties and sheet piles around the perimeter.

The reinforced concrete entrance structure included new timber gates and stop-log features to allow dewatering of the basin for future maintenance.

The building foundations consisted of pile supported ground beams on the poor soil condition.
