The Dubai Metro Blue Line, a 30-kilometer extension with 14 stations, is set to commence operations on September 9, 2029, coinciding with the metro’s 20th anniversary. Serving key areas like Mirdif, Al Warqa, and Dubai Silicon Oasis, it will connect with the Red Line at Centrepoint Station and the Green Line at Al Khor Station. The project aims to enhance connectivity for over one million residents and is expected to serve 200,000 passengers daily by 2030.

Hewson provided tender design for 15km of viaducts and seven elevated stations, including two interchange and two iconic structures.  Tender design services included full Bill of Quantities and 3D modellings for drawing production and quantity extraction.

Detailed finite element analysis was undertaken for design and refinement of structures including highly complex architectural space-frame steel roofs for both iconic stations.  Parametric modelling was used to develop viaduct drawings and quantities along the full length of the route.

CCECC’s tender submission was awarded top technical marks in the assessment process.
