The Contract CV/2012/09 Liantang / Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point Site Formation and Infrastructure Works – Contract 3 covers the Works that include construction of an interchange with four link roads near Kiu Tau, Fanling for the connecting road to the Boundary Control Point, widening of a section of the existing Fanling Highway of about 1 km long near the proposed interchange, re-provisioning of the existing Kiu Tau Footbridge, realignment of the existing roads.

We were appointed to carry out the independent checking for the contractor’s alternative design of permanent works which included prestressed precast segmental viaducts, noise barriers and various other civil structures.

We were also responsible for checking the temporary works design and method statements related to the bridge construction which featured the use of balanced cantilever method by lifting frames and cranes.
