We provided technical support to assist specialist HV electricity cable installation contractor, JSM with the necessary approvals to install new cables through the existing A41 overbridge over the M1 motorway in Hertfordshire.

The work involved completion of a Record of Structural Review Form in accordance with UK Design Manual for Roads and Bridges Standard CS 451 and liaising with National Highways to demonstrate that the proposed works would not affect the integrity of the structure.

Our liaison with National Highways on behalf of our client provided them with sufficient understanding of the proposed scheme and allowed the works to progress without the need for an Approval in Principle submission.
